This 5-hour course provides Texas peace officers with a comprehensive understanding of asset forfeiture laws and procedures. It covers the legal framework, ethical considerations, due process requirements, and practical application of asset seizure. Emphasis is placed on protecting citizens’ rights while effectively utilizing asset forfeiture as a law enforcement tool.
3256 – Racial Profiling
This 3-hour course educates officers on the legal and ethical implications of racial profiling. It emphasizes unbiased policing, community trust-building, and compliance with Texas law regarding racial profiling policies, data collection, and accountability. Officers will learn to recognize and prevent practices that may be perceived as discriminatory.
3702 – Field Training
This course prepares experienced officers to serve as Field Training Officers (FTOs), equipping them to mentor and evaluate new recruits effectively. Topics include adult learning principles, performance documentation, leadership, and the structured training phases.
